Senior Photoshoot...... November 2010

What a fun time I had with these boys, I mean young men.  I had the privilege of shooting Senior pictures, but also being able to capture some pictures with his brother. They are such a great family and are such a joy to be around. I just love listening to them all talk with their beautiful South African accents.  Thanks for trying to teach me some words in afrikaans, even though the only one I can remember is those delicious cookies that I do love so much, oh yes also how to say "look".
I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I love seeing how much they both Love music

This is one that so needs to be on a wall somewhere

What a great Smile

I just LOVE this picture, with the beautiful artwork from his home country on his shoes

Family Session... November 2010

I have to say, I love this family. It was such a blessing to take pictures of our Teaching pastors family. We had such a great time (well at least I did) and laughed a LOT, which is always to be expected when you are around them.  I have had the privilege of knowing them for many many years and have grown to love them more and more every year.
I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I think this has Christmas card written all over it.
Look at those beautiful "Smiles"

If only I could see the dance again

What a beautiful Family

Family Session... October 2010

Two weeks ago I had such a fun time with Justin, Lori, and little Titus (yes Justin I really said that).  They are so much fun and Titus is just adorable.  I am pretty sure we should bring back arranged marriages, just for this one situation, cause every time I see our children together they just look so cute. The only flaw in this GREAT plan is we don't have much of a dowry to send with her. Alright..... well enough with the craziness.
I had a great time, and I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Wedding bells are gonna Ring!!!!!!

I had such a great time the other week, during Pete and Kellie's engagement session.  They are so much fun, and I am so enjoying getting to know them better.  They love coffee, which Kellie was wanting some pictures with (very cute idea) but it was so cold that night, that Pete's was gone before they even got there.  Good thing he still had the cup.  : )  We had a lot of fun, laughed a lot and had some really good conversations.  Btw they both don't really like having there pictures taken (at least that is what they told me), but I am pretty sure they should, because they make beautiful pictures.
I hope you all enjoy this sneak peek into our shoot.

Family........Oh How I Have Been Blessed!!!!!

I had the joy of taking school pictures for one of my beautiful cousins, a couple weeks ago. I have to say, she is such a joy. I have watched her grow into such a fine young lady. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful family that loves the Lord so much.  Kara you are growing into a beautiful woman I am so proud of you.  I love you and I know someone else that is quite crazy about you (not just cause you carry her around everywhere either).  Thank you for Blessing me with this opportunity, to take pictures of you.
Here is a sneak peek of our pictures.

Senior Photoshoot

I got to spend a while with this fine young man, on a beautiful evening the other week.  I got to talk to him a little bit about his future plans, and the colleges he is looking at, and of course cross country. He is a cross country runner, and I have to say I respect anyone who can do that, because I don't even like to run 10 feet.

While I have been looking at and editing pictures from this shoot, I was thinking back to my senior year and how you are so excited that you have finally made it to your last year.  What an exciting time in your life to be a Senior  getting ready to graduate.
I wish you the best and look forward to finishing our session in the Spring.

The "G" Family

I had a wonderful time last week photographing this family, that has been longtime friends of my husbands family.  It is neat to see how God is growing parts of this family in similar ways as our family. So nice to be able to share in their joy. After a long journey to get to this place, it is nice to celebrate with them. I had such a fun time, hope you enjoy this little sneak peek.

Beautiful Family

I had the privilege to photograph two of the children from my friends family last week.  I gave this blog the title "Beautiful Family", not because of their looks (though it is very fitting), but because they are a beautiful family from the inside out. I had such a wonderful time, and I am so very thankful for your friendship. And I am pretty sure I know someone else in my house that loves these two kids more than I do. : )

Christmas is just around the corner.........

When I look around and see the changing leaves, I realize that the Christmas season will be upon us before we know it. I know hearing that is just going to make you think of all you have to do.  One of those things is Christmas cards, right?  Well you obviously can't send Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary a card without a picture or you won't hear then end of it.  You know the best time to start thinking about that is now.  Getting a session booked in plenty of time, to get your pictures back and put in your cards for all those friends and family members that look forward to them every year.
I will be doing Christmas pictures all through the month of November, and am booking those session now.  Plus as an added bonus, with Christmas just around the corner, I am feeling like giving something away. Well I guess that means a contest is in order.  Anyone that books a session held from November 1st through November 26th, will get their name in a drawing with their paid sitting fee. On November 27th I will draw 2 winners.

Grand Prize
50 custom Christmas cards ($90 value)

First Prize
48 wallets (same print $30 value)

There will be one day in the month of November that  I will be offering 30 minute mini sessions, which will include:
15 online proofs to choose from
1 8 x10
2 5x7's
16 wallets
All for $95

I will be announcing that date very soon, so please stay tuned. I will be booking on a first come first serve basis. When all the slots are full for that day I won't be booking any more mini sessions. There will be space for 10 bookings that day, so get yours fast.  I will be announcing the date in the next few days so check back often.

Engagement Session

I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot Monday evening with Clinton and Michelle. The night was beautiful, and the couple was so sweet. Working with you both and getting to know you even this little bit, is making me look forward to your wedding, just so I can work with you again. Thank you so much for letting me share in this time with you, and help you celebrate this wonderful occasion. BTW you made my job easy.
Here is a little peek into our photo shoot.

Oh how time flies

Well last week we celebrated our little girls first birthday. Where has the time gone, it seems like yesterday we brought her home, and had many sleepless nights. We had so many crazy moments that first year and such emotions good and bad.  We are so thankful for that precious little girl, with a laugh that is so contagious and a smile that lights up a room. She has brought us so much joy and praise God for choosing us to be her parents.

Welcome to my new Blog

Well this is my very first post....I am going to share a few pictures from some resent photo shoots.  As we go on through the weeks, months and years I will post sneak peeks of photo as I do the shoots.  I will also be letting you in on some of what is going on in my life, and try and help you get to know me and my work a whole lot better.  I hope you enjoy and I would love to hear your feedback.

This is from a shoot I did of 4 generations, oh how fun it was to work with all these beautiful ladies.
This was from a family shoot, and the girls started dancing in the field. Love those little moments
Same shoot and the dancing girls, I just love that smile.
This is from a senior shoot I did a short this summer
This is one of my favorite shots from that shoot.

One of my favorite pictures I have ever taken.  No words can express how this picture makes my heart feel.  Oh how much I wish my grandmother would have lived a little while longer to meet my little girl so I could get a picture of Her, mom, my little blessing and me.
